Ally Blake was born in Millmerran a small town in outback Queensland, Australia after which she enjoyed an idyllic childhood in sunny Brisbane.

Ally has a Bachelor of Arts with a double English major from the University of Queensland.

She danced in front of up to 50,000 people per game as a cheerleader for the Brisbane Broncos football team.  In her third year she became cheer captain.  She cheered for the Gold Coast Rollers basketball team and on The Footy Show, a weekly television program all about rugby league.  During this time she travelled to Santa Barbara, California to take part in a cheerleading camp and her squad won the much coveted Spirit Award at the culmination of the camp.

After marrying her television producer husband Mark in Las Vegas, Ally moved to Melbourne with their miniature fox terrier, Squiffy, their two black-headed pythons, Mary and Frederick.  They have since added lizards, turtles, fish, chooks and two beautiful, adventuresome daughters to their brood.

When not writing, Ally enjoys eating M&Ms, watching The West Wing reruns, barracking at Collingwood football games.

In 2003 Ally sold her first book, THE WEDDING WISH, a short romantic comedy, to Harlequin Mills and Boon.  This book was nominated by industry magazine Romantic Times reviewers in North America as Best First Series Romance.

Ally's twenty novels have been published in over 30 international markets with over 2 million books sold worldwide.  Her books have regularly appeared on the Waldenbooks Bestseller lists.

Since becoming published, Ally has given talks at writing conferences, libraries and literary festivals around Australia.

She has written several articles giving tips to aspiring romance authors.  She has been interviewed by numerous newspapers and magazines Madison, New Idea, Style Magazine, Notebook Magazine, and Writing Magazine.  She has appeared on TV programs A Current Affair and Brisbane Extra.

Ally has done spots on Mix101's Breakfast Show, ABC Talkback radio and many other media outlets.

Ally enjoyed designing her own website so much she has branched out to create others including the websites for bestselling romance authors Liz Fielding, Lucy Gordon, Barbara Hannay and Natasha Oakley, and for the TV comedy game show Hot Dog With the Lot.
